The Nogales, Sonora Museum of Art (Museo de Arte) is a two-block walk south from the DeConcini border crossing.
Located at Adolfo López Mateos 120, the museum is directly across the street from the rustic Paroquia La Purisima Concepción church (see the museum location on the map below).
To walk to the museum from the Nogales border, after passing through the DeConcini pedestrian crossing, take the first left after walking to the end of the walkway and passing through the Mexico turnstiles. Walk through the covered walkway until you reach the first street, Calle Campillo. Cross Campillo and continue walking straight ahead for one block, and you will see the museum ahead on the left side of the street.
The museum is open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and is closed on Sunday. And admission is free.
El Museo de Arte offers continuously updated displays of photography, paintings and other fine art. It is a great place to relax, take a restroom break, stroll among the artwork and perhaps purchase a piece of fine art for your personal collection.
